Join Shekinah-Fernwood Lodge No. 246 for a special Table Lodge and Dinner celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence — held just blocks away on July 8, 1776.
What is a Table Lodge?
The Masonic Table Lodge originated from ancient feasting traditions to foster fellowship and strengthen fraternal bonds through a ritualized, horseshoe-shaped dining structure. It features specific toasts, songs, and symbolic military terminology, and has evolved from a wine-based social event to using non-alcoholic beverages to promote temperance. As it pertains to lodges meeting in present day, this tradition has unfortunately become a rare occurrence and only takes place every several years.
