Night at the Phillies - 2025
On Monday, August 4th, our Shekinah-Fernwood brothers, families, and friends took over nearly all of Section 139 at Citizens Bank Park for our annual “Night at the Phillies” outing. Field-level along the third base line gave us the perfect view of an unforgettable summer night.

The evening was full of laughs and memories. Howard entertained everyone during the third inning by tossing pretzel braids, peanuts, and bags of sunflower seeds across the rows - until a friendly usher suggested he stop before he was “called out.” Between bites and chatter, lodge members debated where to find the best ice cream at the ballpark, and we kept the wave rolling all the way through the ninth inning.
The highlight of the night, of course, was the Phillies themselves. With the crowd chanting “M-V-P! M-V-P!” every time Kyle Schwarber came to the plate, we witnessed one of the most electric games of the season.
Game Recap
The Phillies dominated the Baltimore Orioles in a 13–3 blowout, powered by Schwarber’s incredible performance.
- Kyle Schwarber homered twice, including a grand slam during the Phillies’ eight-run sixth inning, finishing with six RBI and extending his league-leading total to 94. It was his NL-best 40th homer of the season.
- Harrison Bader, newly acquired at the trade deadline, hit a three-run blast in his Phillies debut.
- Bryce Harper added his 17th homer of the year, while Edmundo Sosa and Weston Wilson went back-to-back in the eighth.
- Starter Jesús Luzardo pitched six innings, giving up only three runs on a pair of Orioles homers.
The victory extended the Phillies’ NL East lead over the Mets and had the entire ballpark crowd on its feet.

Brotherhood and Baseball
While Schwarber’s bat stole the show on the field, the real win for Shekinah-Fernwood was the fellowship off it. Brothers and families came together for food, laughter, and a shared love of Phillies baseball. It was a night of fun, unity, and community spirit that truly captured what our lodge is all about.
We can’t wait until next year’s “Night at the Phillies”—but until then, Go Phils!
